## How these pages are written

- Dates, origins and official recognitions are checked against primary
records, such as the Geographical Indications Registry, before they are
  printed.
- Legends are told as legends. Where sources disagree, the page gives a range
  or says so.
- No artisan, quotation or motif meaning is invented. Photographs show pieces
from the Karigarh catalogue or public-domain museum collections, and
  diagrams are labelled as diagrams.
- Each page ends with its list of sources and the date it was last updated.
