About this piece

Celebrate the magnificent heritage of traditional Indian stonecraft with this stunning handcrafted marble box. Expertly fashioned from smooth, natural white marble, this piece is a testament to exceptional patience and meticulous lapidary skill. The cylindrical body showcases breathtaking jali work—intricate openwork fretwork pierced directly into the solid stone—complemented by delicate rows of coloured stone inlay along the upper and lower rims. The centerpiece of the design is the beautifully ornamented circular lid. Master artisans have carefully cut and fitted tiny pieces of coloured stone and mother-of-pearl to create a harmonious floral mosaic featuring royal blue petals, scrolling vines, and vibrant botanical accents. The polished white marble base provides a luxurious and lustrous foundation that highlights the rich contrast of the inlaid stones. Whether placed on a mantelpiece, a bedside table, or a desk, this versatile container serves as both a functional keepsake box and a striking work of art. Every curve and decorative element represents centuries of traditional artistry, bringing enduring elegance and cultural grace into modern living spaces.
